I love Bookworm online, as well as the deluxe version for PC and Mac, so I was very excited to try it on my DS, since I can take it anywhere. I am thrilled with it! Everything you love about Bookworm is here, along with a few extra fun things.

Create words from the adjacent tiles to clear them from the board and earn points and books to put on shelves in your library. As you earn books and fill the shelves, you fill up and complete rooms in your library. Each room has a different theme and you get a little bonus when each is finished. As you complete more rooms, your library expands. You can visit the rooms on your map and see what you have accomplished!

My favorite new and challenging feature is collecting books and words. There are twenty books, each containing twelve words. When you create a word in one of the books, the book is unlocked and you can see the rest of the words needed to complete the book. For example, I unlocked the book "Insects" by making the word "ant". To complete the book I need to create "bee, wasp, roach, ladybug", etc. This is not as easy as it seems!! There are many fun collections to complete, and while I haven't finished a book yet, I imagine there will be a fun bonus when I do! Books are easily accessible from the main screen so you can check to see which books still needs words, and what words are needed.

My only teeny tiny complaint with this game is barely a blip on the radar, however I'm just a slight bit annoyed that when clearing tiles an extra tap is required after the word is finished. On the computer version, holding the mouse button while making words, and then just releasing it will clear the word. While holding the stylus to make the word on the DS, it has to be lifted and then tapped at the end of the word. Very picky, but it is what it is.

There is not a left-handed option on this game that I can find. That seems an obvious necessity, but for some reason was not included in this version.

I gave my daughter this game for her birthday, and pre-ordered this just in time. The cartridge is accompanied by a Special Collector's Edition Figure Naga with a Gate Card.

The premise of the game is just like the one with action figures, Gate Cards, and Special Ability Cards. You work on customizing your character based upon their looks and clothing. One limitation of the game is that you can only create one character at a time. You can progress in Story Mode by participating in battles, where you win points to upgrade your Bakugan, get additional Bakugan and get Gate/Ability Cards.

The graphics are above average for the DS platform. Game play, if you're a Bakugan Fan, is enjoyable. You choose which cards to play and then roll your Bakugan in the arena to collect G-Power and Additional Points before you land on a Gate Card. When the opponent rolls and lands onto the same Gate Card, the battle begins. As opposed to the figurine/card game where battles are won based upon point totals alone, your points are tallied based upon the Power Rating and then you will perform a battle using hand/eye coordination to win. The best of 5 battles wins the match.

My daughter says she loves the game since it is so fun. Her only complaint is not being able to have more than one profile.

The whole family really enjoys this game. My son who at the time of purchase was 2 fell in love with this game. He goes to bed asking to play, he wakes up asking to play and now at 3 he is the best player in the house. He hasn't done the school and cannot do the tasks because of the reading involved, but he is better than everyone else in the house, so it IS possible that younger kids can play. My little girl (age 4) desperately wanted this after seeing the commercials. I found it on a HUGE discount (more than 80% off). Because of that, it was worth it.

My daughter already has a Pixo machine, so she knew how to use this. The runway is pretty cheap and won't hold up well. The Pixo balls are like any other Pixo product, so you can be the judge on that.

We found one thing that helps. After my daughter sets up the beads/balls in the pattern she wants, we spray it and leave it untouched for hours (not the 15-30 minutes that it recommends). Then we flip it over, spray it again, and let it sit for a few more hours. After that, it's very durable.

Shop For NBA 2K10

I've played NBA2K10 for about 2 weeks. Since I haven't played any prior version of the NBA2K series, nor have I played NBA Live recently, this is not a comparison. Just my impression of the game.

First, the graphics look very nice. The arenas, players, movements, etc, are all nicely done. Crossovers, players trying to get around picks, defensives stances, all seem fairly realistic to me.

My major complaints about the game are how the AI seems to try to 'balance' things. Quite often, the AI hits EVERY outside shot, even if there's a guy jumping in their face. Then my best players will miss wide open layups and wide open jumpers. This usually happens against teams that are inferior in every way. It just makes it feel unfair. Ally-ops are WAY too easy for both human and AI players. Other than ally-ops, I find it hard to 'lead' a player to the basket because as soon as you hit 'pass', they stop running even when the lane is wide open. I usually play with the "auto-coaching" turned on which also has its problems. Rather than just doing substitutions on a dead ball, it will call time outs every time subs are to be made. This usually results in running out of time outs WAY before it should so you never have them when you need them.

Overall its a pretty good game. When the AI isn't making its players god-like and the human controlled team suck unnecessarily, its actually quite enjoyable.Get more detail about NBA 2K10.

BioShock Top Quality

Bioshock is a FANTASTIC game. I would give this game four and a half stars if I could, but I definitely don't feel like it deserves a full five stars. The first 95% of it is about as enjoyable as video games can get, and I could not put my controller down for two straight days until I finished it. I know this game has been out for quite some time and there are many other well written reviews about it, but I thought I'd take a moment to point out its many strong points, and it's very few weak spots.
First of all, the premise to this game is such an original and fresh idea that it's impossible to not get sucked into its unique world. I love the idea of a city existing under the sea, and the art direction to the levels in the game are beautiful to look at. I found myself stopping in the middle of gameplay to just check out the surroundings. The level of detail in the graphics is painstaking and beautiful to behold. Another hugely entertaining touch is the music. How often do you get to run around in a nightmarish world with "Danny Boy" playing in the background? Bioshock avoids a lot of horror game cliches by leaving out the cornball fright music and using authentic 30's, 40's and 50's music. It's a very odd juxtaposition that keeps you on your toes, and it really adds to the depth of the game. Another cool aspect of Bioshock is that I never felt strapped for ammo or weapons. One of my pet peeves about games is leaving you without ammo or supplies that are necessary to move forward. It's more of an annoyance to go searching for stuff that should be made available in the first place. There is tons of stuff to search through, and I always felt that I was collecting something worth while whenever I searched through a barrel, corpse, safe, or whatever. Another thing I particularly enjoyed was the voice acting. It isn't out of this world, but the little audio diaries you collect throughout the game really draw you into the levels you're roaming in, and hearing these broken people and their isolated voices talking about the city of Rapture makes the game that much more tense. The idea of Big Daddy and the Little Sisters is great as well. It's such an original idea, and it never got boring fighting the Big Daddies and then rescuing the little girls.
The length of the game was decent, I'd say I put between 10 and 15 hours of gameplay into it. Load times weren't excessive, and the game allows you to save anywhere which is always a bonus.
I have one very minor and one major quibble about the game, and I hope they fix them for Bioshock 2. The minor quibble I have concerns some of the battle scenes. There are several points during the game where they send four or five "slashers" after you, and deciphering what is going on can be difficult. I don't mind being disoriented in a video game, after all, this is a horror title, but there were times it was more annoying than challenging. I would get stuck in tight spaces and I'd have the slashers on all sides before I had a clue what was happening.
My bigger complaint, though, concerns the ending. The ending to this game was terrible! The final boss battle was incredibly short and easy, and then the game just ends with hardly any fanfare or closure. It's frustrating because the developers did such a great job of writing during the entire length of the game, and then at the end they just seem to give up. Take my word for it, once you get to the final boss scene don't even bother fighting him. It isn't worth your time, so you should just consider getting to the final boss as enough of an ending. There needs to be a payoff for your efforts, and I feel that far too many video games don't put any thought into the ending of games, and Bioshock is no different. They don't even leave anything open-ended in case they wanted you to think there would be another game. Of course, we all know that Bioshock 2 is almost here, but still, they need to take the time to come up with a satisfactory conclusion to the story.
All in all, I couldn't stop playing this game. It's definitely one of the 25 best games I've ever played, and I would whole-heartedly recommend it to any gamer out there!Get more detail about BioShock.

Do you think anyone cares that I killed King Bowser back in 1989? Or that I upgraded my standard blaster to a missle blaster in Metroid in 1988? Or how about the time I found the secret ring in Sonic the Hedge Hog when I got my first Sega? NO ONE CARES A BOUT WHAT YOU ACCOMPLISHED IN A GAME! IT'S MEANINGLESS! IT HAS NO REAL WORLD VALUE!

Every inch of this game is festered with morons that simply can't understand that. At first I thought it was mostly just ignorant kids...but these are adults! Yes, grown adults! Acting like they are children. Some I even know of to have neglected their own children just to play the game. I brought The WoW the first game because it was new and I enjoyed it...but it was short lived with all the drama. I brought the Burning Crusade because my guild annoyed me until I did (I was the guild master). I had to always have the best armor and weapons to keep up with and lead these morons. It was a real pain in the behind. The game felt so much like a job.

All the expansion does is add more hours for you to waste getting better armor and more dungeons to drag yourself through for 10 exciting levels of doing the same quest over and over again. If you like living your life on par with that of a coat hanger... or maybe a lawnmower in the dead of winter. Than this game is perfect for you. My husband is a monopoly freak, obsessed doesn't even cut it. We have a million different versions of the game, which I don't even get because isn't it the same game anyways! Now before my sons were born, we played board games probably once a week, now I honestly can't even think of the last time we played a board game. It is just too hard with all the pieces and curious hands! Our new outlet for entertainment since having kids is the Wii and when I heard that Monopoly was available for the Wii, I knew my husband would love it.

I received the new Monopoly for the Wii from Electronic Arts (EA) and it rocks! First off it features both Classic and Here and Now World Edition Boards. Second off, there is a quick version to play in 30 minutes, called `Get Rich Quick' where the you go head to head against other players in either the developer, industrialist, or tycoon levels. You can play up to four players, although we have only tried it out with two players.

My husband and I love this game and it is awesome for people that want quick game play or want a change in traditional Monopoly-play. You shake the dice with the Wii controller, buy properties, make trading offers, and of course there are Chance and Community Chest cards. There are ten playable boards, with properties reflecting themes like arctic, future, jungle and more! To play different gameboards though you do have to unlock the boards through gameplay, but that is just more challenges and fun!

The game is very close to regular game play, but it is just more fun with the Wii-remote actions. Oh and there are even awesome mini-games to play in! These are fun little breaks. The only drawback with the game is that as two players it automatically adds in two computer players and that was annoying, otherwise you can really customize everything and change some rules.

Overall, this is a great game although I can only vouch for the Wii version. I am sure the other versions on the other systems are fun too, but I like the Wii remote actions. It is colorful, bright, and has lots to offer. I think this too would be a great game for families to play who love their Wii and are looking to incorporate some board games into family time!

We ordered this after reading the 5 star reviews. We probably should have taken a closer look at the description. We really thought this would be more of a trivia type game, since it is made by the Scene-it company, but there is no trivia at all. You could replace the video clips and game pieces with some other theme and it wouldn't alter the game at all. OK for 4-7 year olds, but my wife and I were getting tired of it about halfway through the first sitting. From now on our kids can play this on their own.

I never bother to see if I could play as classic Final Fantasy Characters or explored all the other game modes, after about twenty minutes(ten minutes for the opening cinematic, five minutes for the tutorial and five minutes of actually playing the game) I placed it back in the Gamefly envelop and mailed back I falsely believed that it was just another RPG and got something that I wasn't expecting and didn't want to play. And judging from all the used copies I've seen at GameStop and Game Crazy I'm not the only one who didn't enjoy this game.

Buy Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues

This game is way bigger than I ever expected it to be since the description of this game doesnt do it any justice. After the 2 starwars lego games I figured this would be the first game plus one more world for the new movie, with 6 new levels and that would be it. Not the case, none of these level are the same as the first game. This one has 6 big walk through free roam worlds, the first 3 movies plus 3 for the new movie, each with 15 levels. So there are at least 90 levels plus the six worlds you walk around in, I havent finished the game yet, could be more. Yes some of the levels are small and short but not all. Each world you unlock you have to unlock new characters and new vehicles. It is a little different than the other lego games but I think in a good way if you played them all and are ready for something different. You can make your own levels too. Besides that and the 6 worlds there is also something eles I havent even unlocked yet. This game should bring you hours and hours of enjoyment. Purchase Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

Amost speechless but not quite. This game is AWESOME!! I've played Gran Turismo for years, all of the previous 4 games and this one is by far the greatest! The detail, right down to the stitching on the drivers gloves in POV-view and the shadows shift as you drive the track on a sunny day!! Are you kidding me?!? The cars are awesome - though I do miss some of my old favorites... The series you have to run to get cars unlocked are challenging enough and the tracks are all very realistic. The most real to life driving game ever! We purchased the Zippity system and the Cars game for our 3 year old for Christmas. I had high expectations because we've had some LeapFrog products previously that were great. Bought this game for my 6 year old daughter. She does not like Wii competition games(Mario), and prefers more creative games (like Simms...). The animal behaviors are realistic-- The penguins slip and slide on the ice, tigers stalk each other, animals poo after eating. Unlike other games, there are no discos for penguins or kittens riding flying carpets. The animation is cute, though, and I keep hearing giggles and laughter from her while she is playing the game. Since then I spent average 1 hour on the game, 4 days a week. In August 12, 2009 I weighted 198lb. The advance mode burns my fat pretty well, the game completely hooked me up. It remembers on the date you play, how long you play and how many calories you burned, what a way to keep you playing it. You'll earn points + coins after each game, you can use those coins to buy cloths, the female instructor will dress less if you keep her long as your instructor. For $20, a fun way to lose weight.

House of the Dead: Overkill Order Now

I have to say that I was a bit skeptical about this game. Being an on-rails shooter I thought it may be really basic and not hold my attention long. I was really wrong.

First, this game is NOT for children. It holds Guinness World Record title of most swearing in a video game with 189 counts of the "F" word. Not that it's bad, in fact it is so over-the-top it not only grabbed my attention, but pimp-slapped it and shook it around. Fans of Tarantino and Grindhouse style films will really appreciate the atmosphere. Everything from the artstyle to the music is designed to be fun, violent, in your face, but it never takes itself too seriously.

While the main story is a bit short, about 6 hours total, beating it once unlocks the "Director's Cut" which adds some addition "scenes" to each chapter of the game. This increases the difficulty a bit and also helps to make your second play through still feel fresh.

If possible, be sure to play with the official "Hand Cannon." Wielding this hefty, although plastic, imitation magnum revolver really adds to the overall feeling that you're out to blow some big holes through hoards of the undead.

Better yet, get two of them. Play with a friend or unlock dual-wield mode so you can literally use two Wii-motes (or Hand Cannons) at the same time.

If you want a lighthearted, fun, violent experience, I highly recommend this.
