My four year old asked Santa for this, and so he brought it for her. She was delighted, but then a little disappointed when she opened the box.
I was a little shocked at how tiny and flimsy this toy was. We have tons of Polly Pockets, Favorite Moments (those tiny Disney dolls), etc. so I knew it wasn't going to be like a Barbie Dream House or anything, but the Chixos Loft is *really* really small, about half the width of a shoe box and less than a foot tall. Even when assembled and firmly snapped into place, the pieces (including the plastic "structural beams" which are supposed to hold the loft together) just constantly fall apart. Half the house is made up of a thin piece of cardboard with "images" of the room printed on it. Just not a sturdy toy. Plan on leaving it on one surface and NOT moving it, especially before any of the Pixos have set.
My daughter played with it for a while, but because it kept collapsing on her, she gave up.
I do believe when she gets older and can handle the tiny "pixo" balls and can use them to decorate the furniture in the loft, maybe this will be a better toy for her. But right now it's just a ton of tiny pieces that don't hold together well.
Bottom line- I would recommend this for older kids, and those familiar with Pixos. But it's DEFINITELY not worth the $20- get it on sale. You'd be better off buying a different small-sized doll house and letting your kids use their Chixos and Pixos to decorate that. Get more detail about ChixOs Design-A-Luxury Loft.
