Rhythm Heaven

Try playing this game on the original DS, and you will soon find clearing some stages is near impossible - leaving you ready to curse and throw the DS across the room (at least in my case). The "flick" movement necessary to perform tasks in the game constantly does not register. Since there is a very small window of mistakes allowed between passing and failing a stage, even one or two unregistered flicks messes you up. It seems playing on the DSi is the way to go, but I don't have the DSi. It would have been helpful if the manufacturer put out a notice saying the game might not perform the same across all DS systems.

What I liked: The characters and music are fun! Not annoying at all.
What could be improved: There really wasn't much escalation in terms of level of difficulty the further you progressed in the game. They just changed characters + music, and gave a different rhythm, but didn't make it harder/faster like in other rhythm games such as Elite Beat Agents. This made it not as fun for me as it got a bit redundant.
Helpful info: Play a game at least three times and if you haven't cleared the stage, you can talk to the bartender and he will let you move on to the next stage. This is the only way I got to see the different stages given my problems with the flick on the old DS.

This game might be fun if you have a DSi, but even if it worked perfectly, there are better rhythm games out there in my opinion. Get more detail about Rhythm Heaven.
