It is way too complicated and lacks a solid objective other than to score the most points through very confusing means. The text messaging feature was worthless to us because it didn't activiate itself until the following day, and when it did every message was duplicated. The instructions didn't even tell how to activate the messaging feature, and they were poorly written (we found a major typo). All in all, this game is very disorganized, and most likely thrown together by a company that hoped to sell it with text messaging feature. Don't buy it. Now that's all well and good, but I've come across some problems, one being the mixed bag of minigames. While mostly intended for the pre-teem crowd and mastered with little practice, the concepts of some games, like driving a racecar by spinning a wheel with the stylus, are just a little out there.

Also, if you earn enough special points, you win a bunch of prizes. Now I like virtual figures and trophies and props as much as the next guy, but nothing replaces new characters, games, and play modes (which mostly consist of the minigames you've already played a hundred times). By then, the bag of treats you get from "Mario Party DS" gets pretty stale pretty fast.

I really liked this game, I just wish they had added more content. 30+ recipes is a bit deceiving, as they count all the parts of one meal as separate recipes. For instance, pancakes with bacon counts as two recipes and Cheese Quesadillas with Tomato Salsa and Guacamole counts as three. As you can imagine it doesn't take long to work through all the recipes in the game.

Other than how short it was I had no other complaints and still think it was worth purchasing. The game play is fun and I actually picked up quite a few good tips! I liked that the recipes were real and would actually work in my own kitchen. I recreated the pancakes with nutmeg in real life and they were delicious! While attending Jedi Academy I was put through rigorous light saber training regimes. This simulation while fun, may not be 100% accurate to the core training I received.

All kidding aside, I bought this for my son's 6th birthday. We had a Jedi-themed party and all of the kids competed in a tournament. The game is very fun to play. All of the kids ended up just swinging their arms wildly and hoped their speed would win them the fight and I must say that was usually the case. I have tried playing it and several times the characters ignored my subtle strikes and other moves. This leaves it up to being a fantastic party game but might not be as true to the series as I would have liked. I even played it with the Wii Plus controllers on and off to see if it made a difference, I noticed nothing.

I have Wii Fit, Active and My Fitness Coach. Despite it's relative lack of sophistication I use MFC most often because it gives me the toughest workout for upper body conditioning. This is because you can use hand weights, which are not a feature of the other programs because they require the holding of a Wiimote. It will also let you work out on a stepping thing for cardio.

My complaint is its lack of software integration: to a large extent MFC is just a tape that you follow along,it just charges ahead assuming you are keeping up. Also, you select a type of workout and a time, yet when you are done and want to enter credit for your workout, it does not remember what you did, and you have to enter it again. This may not sound like much, but it is symptomatic of the general lack of connection between the software and what you are doing. Another thing; I tried the yoga and it had you looking away from the screen with no clue as to when you end the pose. Wii Fit is quite good for yoga.

Need for Speed: Shift Best Quality

EA was advertising this game as a "racing-sim". They implemented very interesting features, a very clever career system, lots of tracks and great cars which can be extensively tuned...and everything else is crap. The only way to dress the AI as "realistic" is if it belonged to a demolition derby, its unnecesarily agressive and ridiculously idiotic. The physics are exaggerated, it's easier to spin and lose control of a car here than on GT5P (while GT5P has professional physics, and NFS:S on medium!!!) as well as the blur effects (which are a good adition sometimes, but when you crash you'l see more blurred than after two liters of whiskey).

A race needs 5 things, tracks, physics, cars, and yourself as a driver. NFS:S does only 2 out of those 5 well. Why doen't the driver count? Because this game is hard to control with a DS3 and is unbelievable stupid with a G27 wheel, firstly because setting up the G27 isn't said in the manual and second because it's very problematic, third because you cant even set YOUR preferred location for the buttons, you just get 3 pre-made settings for the DS3, and just 1 for the G25/G27.

I'm terribly regretting having bought this game. I can't enjoy it. It's so idiot in almost every sense. Graphics aren't out of this world either, average.

I work for an after school program in an elementary school and all of the kids love this game. They get frustrated if they lose too much but that goes without saying. But they learn a lot of strategies while playing, how to set it up so they win from both sides and gradually they learn to actually think of a strategy ahead of time. The Kindergarteners and 1st graders aren't that great but the second through fourth graders get to be pretty good. Our program has over 40 kids and we had to get a second one because it's a favorite among them.
